Repatriation

Information about the repatriation process:

  • Our Funeral Home collects and transfers the body of the deceased to our cold storage unit for as long as it is necessary, without charge.
  • In case an autopsy is required we will make the arrangements.
  • We are responsible of collecting the necessary documents, permits and translations.
  • We cooperate with the respective consulate and ensure that all required procedures are met.
  • In case of repatriating a Greek citizen back to Crete, we meet and discuss with the family about organizing and carrying out the ceremony.
  • In case of repatriating a foreign national abroad, the ceremony will be organized by a local funeral office of your choice. We will arrange that the deceased’s body will arrive at the nearest airport.
